This year for our 8th holiday in France we will once again be in the village of Mercurey, in the wine growing area of Burgundy. We had such a wonderful time in 2011 that we have decided to go back to the Chateau de Mercurey again. This year, Angelo Quabba will be art tutor and there will be plenty of other activities included for non-painters. Click on the Chateau picture which will take you to the brochure for 2012. We take only a small group (12)and the accommodation is 5 star with beautiful ensuite bedrooms.

ANGELO WAS OUR ART TUTOR IN FRANCE in 2010 and he has agreed to come with us again in 2012. His paintings express a zest for life and encompass a rich diversity of subjects from huge landscapes and dramatic still life to intimate scenes, portraits and figure studies. His oil paintings have a distinctive flair, joie de vivre, is one way to describe his work. Every piece is full of vitality and spontaneity.
He appreciates the character of old buildings, interesting people and the dignity of older folk. He has recorded many of these observations in drawing and painting activity - the diversity of life being a visual stimulus.
Angelo won the Sir Arthur Streeton Award along with numerous other awards, and has been a finalist in the Alice Bale Scholarship
ANGELO CONDUCTS WORKSHOPS IN FRANKSTON AND TAKES COMMISSIONS FOR PORTRAITS. PLEASE CONTACT THE GALLERY FOR MORE INFORMATION

Peter was born in Broken Hill and currently lives in coastal New South Wales. He has been painting professionally for over 20 years. His trips to Europe, particularly France, are usually taken in the winter so he can capture the moodiness of a cold, rainy day. However this year he is going in Autumn and will return with a new palette. Peter has annual exhibitions with leading galleries in Sydney and Melbourne.

Louis Dalozzo's paintings, contemporary landscape, hard-edged, vibrant, with unparalleled
visual perspective have won him acclaim and notoriety by both corporate and private collectors the world
over. The landscape of Louis Dalozzo brings a refreshingly new approach to a subject matter widely used
within this country. He persists in exploring new avenues of visualization in reference to composition and
colour, which leaves you absorbed and sometimes consumed by the vastness of the panorama. "Few places
on earth do we find such stunning beauty," He says. For this is the subject that continues to impact his
contemporary expression in a way so singular that you can instantly recognize a Louis Dalozzo at a single
glance.

Exploring ones vivid imagination and understanding the essence of dreams is
Lucette Dalozzo’s distinction in Art. Vibrant, intense and enchanting are just a
few ways to describe her compositions, combining oils, acrylics and inks into a
symphony of hypnotic melodies; From music to dreams, Lucette possesses a
unique method of interpretation and understanding, bringing to light the finer
details one might ordinarily miss. "The canvas is a mirror,
so many of my dreams and visions inspire my strokes."
